Stewart Clegg

Biography

Stewart is a British actor, writer and presenter. His younger years were split between England and South Africa. This rather unique upbringing forged an obsession with storytelling, performing and the stage.

As an Actor he has extensive experience across theatre, film, commercials, voice over and television. He’s a versatile entertainer, with a classic look and a flair for comedy. Confident as the leading man in feature films “Signal Failure” and “Host”, Stewart is equally as comfortable in character roles, as in the Bollywood hit “Gold” or as Jeremy Bentham for South Korean television. His extensive theatre credits include performances across the UK’s number one theatres, as well as the West End and Europe. He’s played at the Edinburgh and Brighton festivals and many of London’s fringe venues.

As a regular presenter with the Big Wheel Theatre Company, Stewart spent much of his early career performing, developing and writing their Shakespeare and language shows across Europe. He has lent his voice to characters in audio books, radio dramas and voice over, including the successful “Cycling the Earth” by Sean Conway, “Dr Faustus” directed by Penny Leister, “A Long Walk to Freedom”, “Strike Back” and “Mad Dogs”.

Having written the script for the extremely successful musical “You Win Again” based on the life of the Bee Gees, Stewart plays the part of the narrator, currently touring the UK and Europe.
